The Cooperative

The Agricultural Cooperative of the Farsala Province “ENIPEAS” was founded in 2017 and is based in Mikro Evydrio. It operates in the wider area of Farsala province. Today it counts more than 90 members, most of whom participate in four producer groups: Cow’s milk, Cotton, Cereals, and Legumes.

The purpose of our cooperative is to contribute to the development of agricultural cooperation among both new and older farmers in the wider Farsala area.

Its creation arose from the cooperative spirit and the need of certain producers to express themselves through it and to overcome the multitude of problems faced by the agricultural sector, by promoting their products at more competitive prices, thus giving greater value to their work.

Our purpose

The purpose of our cooperative is to contribute to the development of agricultural cooperation among both young and older farmers in the wider area of Farsala.

It enters into cooperation agreements with the aim of achieving higher-quality production and promoting agricultural products at more favorable prices, playing a catalytic role in the market. Through its active participation in programs, it invests in initiatives that aim at the economic and social development of the Farsala region.

For many years, A.S. ENIPEAS has been an important pillar in the local agricultural sector, having demonstrated measurable qualitative and quantitative results. The coming years find the cooperative well prepared and strong in order to face the challenges of Greek and European agriculture, both on a technological and a social level.

What sets us apart

ENIPEAS, understanding that the market—beyond the quantities it is able to supply—also seeks quality in the products produced, staffed itself with agronomists and specialized partners in each sector. This team has undertaken the technical and advisory monitoring of crops based on soil analyses and control of the inputs used (fertilizers, plant-protection products, seedlings), so that the product reaches the buyer with the agreed quality characteristics.
Agro certification systems have been adopted for wheat, cotton, and industrial tomato; an application dossier for PGI status has been submitted for legumes; and a private standard for regenerative agriculture in cotton has been developed and implemented.

ENIPEAS – a small cooperative that utilizes its internal strengths while also serving as a hub within a broader, supra-local ecosystem of innovative initiatives, making use of new information and communication technologies and the support of university institutions through the provision of targeted knowledge.

As a hub, the cooperative is able to undertake and implement initiatives that lead to the economic sustainability of its members and the environmental sustainability of its region.

Our product received a one-star award at the Athens Fine Foods Awards 2024. The Athens Fine Foods Awards are the most important awards for quality and taste of small-scale food products based in Greece.
The organization of the awards is led by the dynamic team that also organizes the EXPOTROF Food Exhibition, in collaboration with prominent professionals from the food industry.

Cooperative Initiatives

The cooperative takes part in dozens of presentations each year, showcasing its initiatives, products, and innovations. In addition, ENIPEAS organizes its own talks and events.

Regenerative Agriculture

A key objective of ENIPEAS is also the health of the soil. Regenerative agriculture and organic farming are the main tools it employs, and it aims to expand their application, as they give its products the quality characteristics increasingly sought by the market.

Since 2022, ENIPEAS has been implementing a regenerative agriculture program, initially in cotton cultivation and now across the full range of its crops.

The innovation of this program lies in the fact that it combines the training of all stakeholders involved in Greece and abroad, the adoption of a new agricultural production model (regenerative agriculture), and the direct export of yarn to France.
